Stora Trenddagen 2012 is an opportunity for all interested in design, private persons as well as companies, to find inspiration for the year to come. Stefan Nilsson, Sweden’s most recognized trend expert will hold a one hour-long entertaining presentation of 2012 years biggest trends. To every presentation you are also invited to a delightful mingle with food and drinks. A time to enjoy the many inspiring exhibitions and a possibility to mingle and share the experience.

Mema/GAB presents modern and exclusive silver corpus designed by Prince Carl Philip

The co-operation between the renowned craftsmanship company Mema/GAB and Prince Carl Philip has deepened through the development of new products in sterling silver. This time the Prince has left the more functional approach regarding cutlery and designed three objects to enhance the ambience of the living room, a vase and two candlesticks. With CPB 2111 (vase), CPB 2112 (candlestick with a round foot) and CPB 2113 (candlestick with an oval foot) Prince Carl Philip has designed modern and exclusive silver corpus for the style conscious consumer. The candlestick will surely find its place in the home environment as well as being a nice gift.

Dornbracht’s Press Launch at Badrumsspecialisten

With Deque, Dornbracht presents a new fitting for the bathroom, which is distinguished by a strict, formal expression that is reduced to a flat, wide spout. The flat fitting lies very close to the basin, thereby drawing attention to the essential purpose behind it, namely the form in which water is presented.

Alapes Launch of “Be Yourself” at Badrumsspecialisten

The trend is towards larger rooms and open-space living. With the new »be yourself« product line, Alape takes a step back from the wall and open up the additional space to new furnishing ideas. 10 Art Works by Photographer Francesco Valentino

The art exhibition is arranged in aid of Marianne & Sigvard Bernadotte Arts Fund. Ten unique art works are presented of Isabella Rossellini, Vivienne Westwood, Anna Piaggi,  Oscar de la Renta etc. During the opening reception, HRH Prince Carl Philip of Sweden attended as guest of honor. The Exhibition at Berns Salonger will last until October 31st 2011. The event was arranged by Hans Hjelmqvist, Trendgruppen PR.

Formex Design Party at PUB

A great design party at Room, PUB, introduced this falls design week. During the night, Stockholmsmässan presented the winners of the Nova 2011 price – Nordic designer of the year. The award winners were Simon Klenell for his glass design and Hanna Hedman for her jewellery design. During the night, the award winning chef and author, Marcus Samuelsson also launched his new tableware for Mateus. Everyone in the industry was there to enjoy a lovely night of design.

A unique collaboration in design and craftmanship

Press Launch of Orrefors new collection by Karl Lagerfeld. Clean lined, subtle and functional. The first members of Lagerfeld crystal family are champagne flutes and coupes and wine, water and liquer glasses. Transparent, black or milky white and the series typifies the Karl Lagerfeld  ethos of ultra strict lines. In the spirit of the designer’s well-known practicality, the series also includes monogrammed coasters to prevent any trace of an errant drop on an immaculate tablecloth. The collection will be available from September 1, 2011.
